What's new

The latest features, improvements and fixes. Here’s what we’ve been working on.

Personal bests

When a website hits its highest-ever month for traffic, calls, form submissions, or sales, it'll now be celebrated automatically — with milestone dots on the dashboard graph and highlights in the monthly performance email. A small thing that makes a big difference for keeping clients motivated.

MARCH 2026

Call tracking

Every site can now have its own trackable phone number. When a visitor calls, it forwards straight to the business owner's existing number. Before they're connected, a short whisper plays: "You're receiving another call from your Rocketspark website."

For service businesses like builders, landscapers, and tradies, this is tangible proof the website is working. Calls are counted in the dashboard, so you can show real results at your next catch-up.

We're still fine-tuning a few things. If you spot anything odd, let us know.

$15/month per site (currently only available in New Zealand)

MARCH 2026

Sitewide spacing increments

Set a base spacing unit for your entire site (5px, 8px, 10px, 20px, or 30px) and every drag snaps to that grid automatically. Choose 8px for a clean 8-point grid, or 5px when you need finer control. No more guessing pixel values or keeping notes in a notebook.

MARCH 2026

Option-drag to copy blocks

Hold Option (or Alt on Windows) and drag any block to instantly duplicate it. Style one block exactly how you want, then option-drag to populate the rest of the page in seconds. No re-adding, no re-styling, no re-entering content.

MARCH 2026

Stack backgrounds in one click

There's now a colour swatch right in the stack toolbar. One click opens it, pick a colour, and it's applied instantly. No more navigating to the background tab and saving. If a stack already has an image background, you'll see an "edit background" button instead, so nothing gets overwritten by accident.

FEBRUARY 2026

Site imports just got way more affordable

We've built a new site importer tool, and the big news is that import costs are dropping significantly. If cost was the thing that held back a client's move to Rocketspark before, it's worth having that conversation again. We're happy to requote any imports that didn't go ahead last time.

The process is simple: we bring their existing site across, you redesign it your way. Much less cost, much less hassle.

Mobile signup and domain purchase

The domain purchase and DIY signup flows are now fully optimised for mobile. Everything works on a phone: watching Flint write out pages, entering credit card details for a domain, all of it.

Next time someone at a networking event says "I really need to get a website sorted," you can show them what's possible right there on your phone. Help them grab a domain or start a trial before the moment passes.

Web accessibility: our progress so far

Web accessibility means making sure websites work for everyone, including people with disabilities, low vision, or those who rely on screen readers and keyboard navigation.

We've published an accessibility statement that outlines the improvements we've made across the platform, what we're working on next, and the practical steps we're taking to make websites easier to use for all visitors. It's a living page, and we'll keep updating it as we roll out new improvements.

JANUARY 2026

Major upgrade to image file sizes and speed

We've overhauled our image processing. In testing, many background images are about 70% smaller, and in some cases up to 90%. That's like a 4MB image shrinking to 400KB with no visible difference. No fuzzy edges, no distortions.

Smaller images mean faster pages. Faster pages keep visitors around longer, which usually means more enquiries and more sales. Speed also helps with Google rankings, because Google rewards sites that load quickly.

Any new images you upload get the benefit straight away. We're also reprocessing existing images over the coming weeks, so improvements will roll out automatically. Nothing you need to do.

JANUARY 2026

SVG stack backgrounds

Upload SVG images for stack and column backgrounds. Your vector artwork stays crisp at any screen size, with file sizes about 80% smaller than a PNG equivalent. No more choosing between quality and speed. SVG logo support is on the way too.

JANUARY 2026

Two more builder templates

We've added two more builder templates, bringing the total to five. Combined with Flint 4 for rewriting content, these are a great option for clients who are just starting out and need a domain, email, and website set up quickly. When they're ready for a full custom-designed site in 6 to 12 months, they'll remember who helped them get started.

DECEMBER 2025

Side-by-side buttons

You can now place buttons side by side on your sites. This one took a bit of work: we ran into some tricky issues migrating existing sites to the new system, but we've worked through them and all sites now have access. It's one of those small-but-mighty updates that makes a real difference to how pages look and flow.
