We talked with Chantelle, the owner of The Good PA, a team of virtual assistants providing ongoing office support to Waikato-based businesses.
What service/s do you as virtual personal assistants provide to your clients?
We take care of our client's headaches! We love all things administration, bookkeeping, graphic design, website building and maintenance, personal assisting, EA (enrolled agent) as well as business development.
Why a virtual PA business?
I noticed business owners running around with their hands in the air, screaming…no, not really, but they were looking frustrated! They’d forgotten the ‘ideal’ business they had imagined when they started and were needing time back to work on the dream again. I wanted to give business owners and managers that time to do what they were good at, while we supported them, by doing what we are good at, office admin and beautiful design for their business.
At what stage in your business did you realise that you needed a website?
I set up a website before I even went live with my business, I went with another templated website platform at the time (looking back now I’m like YUK) then somehow I met the team from Rocketspark and all my prayers were answered. I soon realised that the Rocketspark platform was so good that it would be the perfect solution to my client's problems, so I hired a graphic designer in 2016 and we started building Rocketspark websites for our clients!
How has website design contributed to growth in your business?
It has definitely helped provide another source of income. As long as you can find an awesome graphic designer and a great platform, it’s a great idea to hire one to help take your business to that next level. Leah our designer is 5 STAR!
Do you have any advice to give to similar business owners on how a graphic designer can maximise productivity in the VA/PA/Marketing industry?
I do recommend hiring someone from the graphic design industry because this resource can provide another revenue stream for your business and offer another helpful service to clients. The more business solutions you are able to offer your clients, the more potential there is for growth for both of you.
