The impact and importance of your role
You will be working on Rocketspark's proprietary platform in an agile/project based manner (we use Shape Up), collaborating with our front-end engineers and design teams on an exciting roadmap of new features that are deployed globally.
Your role will include working with a product manager & design team to help shape our product. You’ll be involved in working out what is technically feasible and how it can be built, creating technical specifications and collaborating within your team to deliver the feature.
In addition your role will encompass some level of server monitoring and dev-ops support to make sure the platform is running smoothly.
Essential experience, skills & knowledge
3+ years industry experience
Experienced in PHP
Desire to lead projects
Work well in a team environment
PHP experience is required
3+ years industry experience with backend software development is required.
Self motivated and driven professional, creating best in class software.
Good written and oral communication, being able to reason well.
Excellent attention to detail.
A passion for the latest web technologies and code quality. There's an opportunity to influence the direction and openly share ideas within our team.
A natural feel and intuition for customers' problems, user experience and how best to solve them.
Experience with Domain Driven Design, Event Driven Programming and Clean Code concepts.
Experience with PHPUnit & deployment pipelines
Experience building and integrating with external API's
Previous SaaS app experience and working with Payment Gateways, Billing Systems, Inventory Management and Domain Name reseller integrations is desirable.
A fundamental understanding of HTML, CSS, Typescript and Javascript would be useful.
Ability to plan, spec and lead feature development from start to finish with a team.
Experience working within a team environment to deliver projects.
